About Me.

About me - First of all I like to thank you for popping over. My names Gerard I'm behind experience-a-recipe-for-breakfast.com I'm a chef by trade with over twenty five years experience in the hospitality industry.

I've contributed in winning The Small Business Award for outstanding restaurant and a Chef's Hat from the Good Food Guide in Sydney.

I've worked at Resorts in Airlie Beach Queensland, Alice Springs Northern Territory and for Paspaley Pearls in Broome Western Australia. I've got interesting and tasty recipes with modern Ideas using fresh ingredients that will be easy to make.

It's about me making an interesting and tasty breakfast with fresh ingredients that's going to be easy to do.

The interesting part to this experience is that I didn't want to be a chef, my parents showed me the path to the hospitality industry.

I wanted to drive trucks...or be a fireman, the chef part came after those two. But to keep my parents expectations high I took on an apprenticeship in Commercial Cookery.

During the twenty plus years of chefing, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, although it had it's ups and downs, but, I gained many skills from this chosen career, I'm glad I did.

Hi Bear here, I'm scattered around the site here and there, My job will be to guide you to have an interesting breakfast experience. It's all about enjoying what you make and how easy it will be to make the good stuff that we all have for breakfast.

As a chef I have cooked up a storm of different breakfast foods, all of which will be on this site to share with you. This is a taste of what I've achieved in my career.

Making breakfast breads in the oven or in a bread machine, it's still a special sensual experience for us.
