French Toast Recipe.

French toast has been around for quite a while know, and it’s still getting great reviews from people wanting to know how to make it. Experience the different flavours that you could add to them.

It’s like making bread pudding in a way, only that it’s cooked on top of a grill, in a frying pan or it can be baked with butter to get that nutty flavour through it.

This recipe can be transformed into a delicious dish with fillings such as berries, all kinds of fresh fruits, savoury mince, and cooked chicken as well.

How to make french toast.

Grab some day old bread or use the fresh stuff that you got in the bread bin, it doesn’t really matter what type of bread you use.

Dip it in a mix of two eggs, pinch of salt and pepper and mix together. Dip the bread in the egg mix and cook it on a hot plate or in a frying pan with a nob of butter.

When brown turn and cook the other side till brown as well. French toast is the most versatile food that you can make for breakfast, it’s quick, it’s also easy to do.

It goes well with cinnamon sugar, maple syrup and fresh fruit chopped up on top with a dollop of fresh yoghurt.

It’s also nice to have with some crispy bacon, a few slices of smoke salmon and topped with seasoned sour cream, garnished with chopped chives.

On the other hand, you can easily stuff the toast with just about anything that you like, all you have to do is dip one at a time in the egg mix.

Place cooked bacon, asparagus, smoked salmon on top, then dip the other piece of bread and place it on top of the other, like a sandwich.

Cook it on a hot plate or in a frying pan till brown. Cooked properly while soft on the in side and crunchy on the out side.

The sweet side of french toast is a must to try out for breakfast; it can be done in a good number of ways with very little effort.

The most popular is with fresh fruit and yoghurt, again this is easy to do, first make the egg mix - as above - and add one teaspoon maple syrup, mix this up well and dip the bread in.

Cook it till brown on both sides.

When done top with fresh mixed berries, a spoon-full of yoghurt, drizzle maple syrup over the top and a few good shakes of icing sugar around the plate.

A special way to present the dish is to place a knife and a fork on the edge of the plate, then sprinkle icing sugar on them, remove the utensils carefully.

There you go, a nice pattern to impress your guests with, all there is to do know is munch away at it.

You could add chocolate in the same way for the impression part, but a nice touch would be to crush up a bar of honey comb and sprinkle on top. Yum, how nice would that be.

Or even better, how about a chocolate ganache to pour over it to really impress your friends, and enhance the flavour.
