Spicy Lemon Pepper
Cookie Recipe.

Lemon pepper cookie recipe for breakfast that melts in your mouth. For a variation you could use white pepper in-stead. The use of lemon zest could be replaced with orange zest as well.

A lemon black pepper cookie recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 225g (8oz) of plain flour
  • 115g (4oz) of unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon of lemon zest
  • ½ teaspoon of freshly cracked white pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons of salt flakes

Method:

Preheat the oven to 175c (350f gas mark-4), and line two baking sheets with parchment.

What you need to do with the flour is sift it in a bowl and rub the soft butter into it to make breadcrumbs. Mix the zest, white pepper and the egg to form a stiff dough.

Roll it out on lightly floured surface to the thickness of 3mm (1/8in) thick and cut it out with a cookie cutter of your choice, place on the sheets and brush with egg whites, sprinkled the tops with the salt flakes.

Bake for 10 minutes or till they are golden in colour. When done, cool on a wire rack, these lemon and black pepper cookies will last for 5 to 7 days in a airtight container, this cookie recipe will make 2 dozen cookies. Next is a bacon cookie snacks.
