A pineapple smoothie recipe that has strawberries and orange. This will kickstart your brain ready for the mornings rush hour. When making this breakfast smoothie try using a blood orange, this will add a deeper colour to the smoothie along with the strawberries. Doing It this way will add more of the good stuff that we all get from fresh blended fruit. You could try any type of yoghurt but, plane yoghurt is what we use and it turns out thick and smooth as well as scrumcious.
Ingredients:
Peel the pineapple and the orange, give the strawberries a good wash and take the stalks out. Chop the fruit up into small chunks and place it in your blender Blend for 20-30 seconds on medium, add 3 tablespoons of yoghurt then increase the speed to high for another 20-30 seconds. Add more yoghurt till desired thickness is obtained or until a smooth texture is formed. When done pour into a chilled glass and garnish with any fruit that you have over. Ananas comosus or better know as the pineapple is the only bromeliad fruit in widespread cultivation. This pineapple smoothie will be special to have for breakfast, it will give you the extra grunt that we need in the morning. Mix and match any fruit and nut milks with the pineapple to come up with the perfect smoothie for breakfast, it's a refreshing taste, especially mixed with the apricot milk and almond milk.
