A strawberry banana smoothie.

One easy strawberry banana smoothie recipe that goes so well for a quick breakfast on the run. Making a smoothie for breakfast is so easy all you need to do is peel the fruit chop it up and throw it in a blender till all smooth.

The fruit that you use could be fresh or frozen, if frozen the thicker it will be. If you want a thinner smoothie try adding fresh fruit juice, mineral water or tonic.

The best that I've come across is puree fruit juice, not only do you get the benefits from the juice, you get the fibre from the pulp of the fruit to stimulate the brain to drive the body.

A strawberry banana smoothie recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of milk (skim, butter milk, low fat)
  • 2 large bananas chopped
  • 1 punnet of strawberry's
  • ½ a cup of banana yoghurt
  • 1 table-spoon of honey
  • 1 table-spoon of wheat germ (for the health conscious)
  • ¼ tea-spoon of ground cinnamon

Method:

Place all of the Ingredients in a blender or in a processor and blend till you have a smooth texture. If you want a thicker smoothie then add frozen fruit or milk that has been frozen into cubes this always will make it thicker.

Place in a chilled glass and garnish to your liking, it would be a good Idea to give the strawberry's a good rinse before hand. And there you have it. An easy recipe to make for breakfast, most smoothies are so easy, all you need is the ingredients, a blender, then your set to make a strawberry and banana smoothie.
