Yoghurt Smoothie It's Super Food.
A yoghurt smoothie recipe for breakfast is one of the most nutritious and versatile super foods that your body can get a hold of. It will kick start your brain to get your body moving, yoghurt is a curdled milk product made with lactic ferments which have a much greater acidifying power than natural fermenting agents. Here's a great smoothie recipe that will spark your brain in the morning.
Ingredients: - 85ml (2˝fl oz) natural live yoghurt
- 25ml (1fl oz) half-fat evaporated milk
- 6 frozen strawberries
- 1 teaspoon honey or more to taste
- 3 frozen skimmed milk cubes
Method:
Place the yoghurt, evaporated milk, honey and 3 of the frozen strawberries in a blender to blend for 10 seconds on low speed. When the 10 seconds are up, stop the blender and stir the smoothie, then add the other 3 strawberries, and blend away for another 10 seconds then stop.
Now add the 3 frozen milk cubes and blend again, stopping and stirring until the cubes are thoroughly mix in and the texture is a smooth consistency. Pour into chilled glasses and garnish with what you have. You could freeze as smoothie ice block as well, pour into moulds with a stick in the middle for a great treat for the kids to have on a hot day or just a breaky snack. Next page is a
